Ladies & Gentlemen, on that stage was your next president and at least 3-4 members of his/her cabinet. I think the Governor of Minnesota is out. I think the guy from Pennsylvania is out. - Yo Jason I nearbout forgot about them military pics. I caught a ride with some of the skippers on ships like the USS Independence, Forrestall, some names after presidents and some merchant marine ships like the USNS Regulus and even a few rides in a sub. I met some good folks in the Navy and the marines as well as some of them girly men called the Navy Seals. Actually them was some good folks, great at their job, and they sure knew how to treat a newcomer and an outsider - the gave me one of them survival knives in a case and a pixter signed by a whole mess of them guys. Heck I even had to go to Marine Sniper school. and I was in the Air Force - go figure on that. Anyhow I'm glad you are here and it sure is good to talk at somebody that has been there....

Hello Jason,
that picture reminds me of two things; Hunting and farming. I rode a John Deere B (with the hand clutch) many hours. It was also the perfect place to help add meat to the freezer. I have just recently joined in here myself. It is truly awesome how many folks share the same kind of background that i think you and me do. Since I got in a chair and everything I don't hunt as much as I used to do and there is some other stuff I don't do anymore at all. Anyhow i sent one of the friend request things to you and i hope you will accept or approve it or whatever you have to do - that is if you will be my friend.
I growed up in North Carolina in Beaufort county there on the easter part but not right close to the beach. The swamp was behind us and in front and everywhere else was farmland, hog operations, big chicken houses, and during a few months every year the road was full of equipment - tractors, corn pickers, even the trains of primed tobacco pulled along by one of them little Cub tractors. I don't know which was worse, washing hog floors or climbing in a grain bin to level out the corn or beans - usually when the big fans were running too.
Anyhow, hope you don't mind writing back to me some. And also, i nearly forgot that there is some groups you could maybe join or something and even then we could share some stuff - it sure would bring back a whole lot of memories.
