- Victor I am not disagreeing with your entire premise, but certainly you have to take into consideration that corporate America pays the highest taxes in the world and added to that are the excessive cost of unions & pensions. They are in business to make a profit. First they have to pay corp. taxes, employment taxes, unemployment insurance, medical coverage, contribute to pension funds, carry their overhead while trying to produce new products for the public's consumption. If they do not produce a profit, their shareholders don't get any dividends and that is like putting money in a savings account and receiving no interest on your money. The brain trust in America is shrinking due to the corruption of the NEA and the poor quality of education that our children are receiving. So overseas they are going, lower taxes, unions are more pliable in benefit requests and the quality of education is much higher than here. It is truly a shame and a disgrace what has happened the last 30 to 40 yrs. Do you really think they want to leave America and live in some foreign land for years at a time. I don't think so. I hope I have offered enough information to soften your anger at corporate America. They along with the jobs they provided us with made this Country great!! It can be that way again, but only if we change the circumstances that caused the exit in the first place. God bless...
