Following each election we have a since of what the issues are but not exactly what those elected officials turn towards to obtain those selected goals. The Big "O" at Grand Isle, La.

Obama came down on a helicopter today to visit the island for 3 hours. (Just a little detour from that vacation) Sources and local media reports that several buses full of people showed up at the beach before he got here and started to clean up some of the oiled beach and worked until Obama left then those people packed it up and left also. It brings a smile to my face to learn director Birnbaum of the MMS resigned today. It really brings to question what her part in the mess we have in the gulf was. Proud to be a TRUE American.

I have been venting to others about this for a while. I am a young woman who is having a hard time finding a job because I am not bilingual. Why should I have to learn spanish just to get a job in the field that I wish to work in?

Who can judge a man for crossing an imaginary line in the dirt to feed his family? I cant do it, however if you get caught here breaking the law or being investigated for suspicion of breaking a law, I do not feel you have the right to complain about your alien status being questioned. Tax on Oil companies

The proposed tax on oil production companies will not "fix" anything. I agree that the spill in the gulf is terrible and it will hurt the gulf coast for many years, everything from tourism to the fishing industry. The cost of this is unmeasureable at this point. However the goverment trying to pass a tax that will quadruple the tax coming from these companies will hurt every American.
