I’m late in getting this written, but it’s still relevant nonetheless.
All of the buzz over the last several days has been over the results of the first debate between President Obama and GOP nominee Mitt Romney. As is customary after a big debate, all the pundits, bloggers, pollsters, commentators, un-commentators, agitators, and basically anyone with a pulse and an opinion all have been weighing in to give their spin on who won.
Frankly, it’s amazing to see that almost everyone from the mainstream media and across the board overwhelmingly agree that Romney won it hands down; and what’s more that Obama totally blew it. When the MSM calls it that way, you know it must have been a bad night for their guy Obama who they usually manage to help spin a win for.
While I agree that at least in terms of the debate itself that Romney won and Obama lost, I predicted even before the debate began that the real loser of the debate would not be one of the two men on the stage, and that no real win for anyone would be possible.
What do I mean by that? Well, let’s look at how the debate format was structured.
