“Time To Get Excited About Donna Campbell, Texas Senate District 25”
by Donna Garner
4.14.12
It is my privilege to recommend Donna Campbell, M. D. for the Texas Senate, District 25.
Donna is the true conservative in this race. This is Texas’ opportunity to put another committed, pro-life/pro-family Texas Senator in the legislature.
Donna has been endorsed by Texas Alliance for Life, Texas Right to Life, Cathie Adams, Kelly Shackelford, David Barton, Rick Green, Roy Casanova (former SREC, District 25), Central Texas Republican Assembly, and Texas Home School Coalition.
Donna has been named one of the Texas Top Ten Conservative Challenger Candidates by Texans Conservation Texas Political Action Committee (CTxPAC).
Donna Campbell is the socially conservative, fiscally responsible choice to replace pro-abortion and pro-Planned Parenthood Sen. Jeff Wentworth.

Because the votes by Texas Senators end up impacting all Texans, it is incumbent upon us conservatives from across the state to do our part to help Donna Campbell get elected because successful campaigns do cost money. Please join our family in contributing to Donna Campbell’s campaign even if you cannot give a large amount. A large number of $25 gifts all added together can help a candidate print campaign literature, buy yard signs, purchase media space, and pay for technology expenses.
THE OPPOSITION – SEN. JEFF WENTWORTH
Now let’s discuss the opposition. Sen. Jeff Wentworth has held the SD 25 seat since 1993; but with the advent of a greater number of engaged and committed grassroots voters, Wentworth’s time in office should come to an abrupt halt.
Wentworth was the only Senator to vote against the 2011 sonogram bill. When Donna Campbell apprised her constituents of this fact recently, Wentworth immediately challenged her statement. Amazingly, on 3.13.12 the left-leaning PolitiFact confirmed what Donna Campbell had said about Wentworth. Sen. Wentworth is not a conservative, and the proof is in the legislative scorecards published by Young Conservatives of Texas, Texas Eagle Forum, and Heritage Alliance. Here are Wentworth’s scores during the last two legislative sessions:

THE COUNTERFEIT – ELIZABETH AMES JONES
The third challenger for SD 25 is Elizabeth Ames Jones. What do we know about her? Elizabeth Ames Jones says she is pro-life, but her actions do not reflect her words. In a private meeting in 2000 when Jones first ran for the Texas House, she was asked about her position on parental notification for a minor to have an abortion. She danced around the question but never directly answered. Nor could the attendees get a direct answer from Jones concerning parental rights.
In 2003, State Rep. Frank Corte authored the Women's Right to Know bill, a pro-life bill. Of 150 state representatives, 84 signed on to the bill. Elizabeth Ames Jones did not. Even some Democrats signed on! When asked about this recently, she cited the busy legislative session. The bill did not pass until late in the session. Ames Jones literally had months to sign on, but she chose not to do so.
Jones resigned in 2005 when she was appointed to the Texas Railroad Commission. Elizabeth Ames Jones is a political climber, and voters should have serious doubts about her commitment to conservative family values.
