Why Col. West should be President

If this country is to survive the next 100 years, or even the next 10 years, we must have a drastic change in the type of Leadership we put in the White House. The only person that can fill this job description is Lt. Colonel (r) Congressman Allen West. ~ Me

Please Note: I first wrote this back on Apr 14, 2011. This is an edited version of the original. Since then there have obviously been changes, so at the end of this post, I will give you an update and some very important information concerning the fall-out from the recent Debt Ceiling debacle.

This may only be my opinion, but I think I have logically thought this out using research, facts, and common sense so it holds up to all logical scrutiny. I hope you agree...

None of you need me to tell you, that this country is in the worst shape of our lifetimes. Just ten years ago we were a strong vibrant country with nothing but good things to look forward to. Then 9.11 happened.

Although it took a bunch of Godless radical Muslims to take down some buildings and kill just a little under 3,000 innocent people, it is the radical progressive left in this country that has used the tragedy to drag us down further than anyone could have ever thought possible. The end result... We are at War!

We are at War on so many fronts, from so many directions, by so many different competing organizations, and so many differing ideologies that it's getting hard to keep up. The saddest part of all is, many of those mentioned are within our very own borders, and working against their very own Homeland. There is not enough time for me to list all of our enemies but I can list some of their targets.

Our enemies (within and without) are trying to crush our economy.Our enemies (within and without) are trying to crush us politically.Our enemies (within and without) are trying to isolate the Christian religion. Our enemies (within and without) are trying to end our world power status. Our enemies (within and without) are trying to undermine our Government. Our enemies (within and without) are trying to erase our Borders. Our enemies (within and without) want to erase the Unites States of America that I want to pass on to my blood-line for generations to come. And sadly the list goes on. To make matters worse... We have a president that seems to be incapable of leading this country out of it's sad shape, or maybe even worse, he wants us in this gutter-like condition.

It is all the reasons above, and more, that I believe Allen West has come along at the very right time in our nations history. I believe God put him in front of us because he knows... We need a LEADER, a strong person of Honor, with real American Values to LEAD this country back to greatness. Col. West is battle-tested and hardened to the rigors of what it takes to survive in a world where everyone wants us all dead. He understands what we are up against with the Radical Islamists that only ask two things from Americans... convert to Islam, or Die. He knows that are our childrens future is slipping away at the hands of Progressive ideology, and he knows the history of what it's rooted in.

And for those of you that think he doesn't have the experience, let me remind you... Obama's only experience was as a Community Organizer, then a short stint as a Senator before becoming the leader of the Free-World. While Obama was attending SEIU meetings, Col. West was in charge of and responsible for the lives of 600 brave Soldiers on the battlefield. Now ask yourself who has the better experience to be a leader? Most Pro-Americans know by instinct that that person would be Col Rep. Allen West! It is a fascinating read on the real Allen West.

We must find a way to convince Mr. West that he should run for POTUS in 2012. If we draft him into service like we did with George Washington, he could very well end up being the Modern Day version of our Nations very first (and one of our finest) President! Update as promised: We recently went through a hard fought battle with Congressional Democrats and their Dear Leader... Barack Obama. As you know the battle was over raising the Debt Ceiling. The ONLY reason it turned into a bloody battle is because good people around the country screamed as loudly as they could at our more Conservative leaders saying "No" to raising the debt ceiling. On the other side, the President wanted to raise the debt ceiling without any restrictions. In short, the President wanted to borrow trillions more money that we cannot afford, while our side rightfully said "No", this has to stop!

The only thing that got in the way of a clean compromise was something that has become a nasty and disgusting sport called 'Politics'. The fight was much harder for our side because our side had no real power to make any real deals, yet by the grace of God, we did. The Democrats control the Senate in Congress, and of course the President. Our side only has control of the House of Representatives in Congress. So we were out-gunned by a two to one margin. Still, the Republican Speaker of the House hung in there and kept on fighting, and in the end Allen West saw the logic in coming away with more spoils from this battle than the Democrats. Norquist Loves Deal: Obama Big Loser

Grover Norquist heads up the powerful anti-tax group Americans for Tax Reform. A non-profit group that Ronald Reagan personally asked Grover to start. He happens to be one of the foremost experts on the American economy and the expert on Tax reform.

Almost immediately after this bill had been passed and an economic disaster had been averted, people with loud mouths and no common sense, began to call anyone that voted for the passage of this bill "Traitors" "Turncoats" and worse. Personally, I find it repulsive that any American would have the audacity to call a true American Patriot like Colonel Allen West a Traitor. In fact, Allen West did the right thing by voting for it's passage. This bill is the first real step our nation has ever taken towards balancing the budget and STOP the insane spending that Democrats and their Marxist President love so much. This bill was NOT the complete answer, but it is a good start.

In an interview with Laura Ingraham, the following day, Allen West said he had to vote for this bill, and his reasoning was sound..."If I don't vote for this, then exactly what is it that I am voting for". The President wanted a blank check, but no plan. And the Democrats had a plan but it stunk and would have continued spending much more that what we take in. Another words, there is no way in hell that West could vote for the Democrats plan. And in the end, he was 100% correct. He could have forced the Republicans to go looking for another extra YES vote by hiding out with those that had promised their constituents that they would hold the line, and were up for re-election. West is also up for re-election, but he did NOT take the easy route out. He took a principled, common sense approach to the problem and voted for this bill.
